Here's the thing - I was using a Pixel 4a and wanted a bigger Android phone. I have used Samsung before and found many deals on S20 Plus so I gave it a try and will return it in 5 days. Here's what I found: Samsung has created a clunky, non-intuitive interface that complicates even basic functions. I understand why people are switching to Apple, which isn't easier, but it seems. Samsung continues to push its cloud and its integration to entice users to create a Samsung account. Without this, it is almost impossible to get the phone to work normally. The phone is buggy - sometimes I can select a Wi-Fi network, sometimes not. I thought I changed the sound of notifications but it still sounds old even when notifications are not visible. BUT?!? - The power button is inconveniently located under the volume button. I keep turning the screen off while trying to turn down the volume. In fact, I find myself turning the volume up and down several times a day (there doesn't seem to be a universal control for notification sounds, but then again, it might exist somewhere). The fingerprint scanner is finicky. The menu controls should have been written and translated in Korean as they don't make sense in English. Also, personalization is limited. The battery lasts up to 12 hours on a good day, and that's without the 120Hz screen refresh. Thankfully, the screen still looks good at 60Hz. Verdict: This phone is a $1,200 disappointment. Pixel phones are such intuitive devices that it's difficult to use something stupid like Samsung. I'd say save the extra $500 and buy a Pixel instead - the interface is slick and everything "just works".
