Comes disassembled in two parts, box contains four screws and allen key to screw in. Line up the bottom back - it's really 4 screws and very easy. Despite being plastic, it feels solid, not hollow - and has a significant weight. I'm a 200 lb guy and when I sit on it it doesn't flex or wobble. In fact, the other day I just took it to stand on something bigger and it had no issues with my weight. The finish is matte black and looks good, although lifting it up it's easy to tell it's plastic. It certainly feels well made and is ready to take some abuse, but this is no dining chair. For me the perfect chair for greenhouse or solarium. It looks beautiful, but it seems indestructible. Overall, my only complaint is that the price ($60 at the time of this review) seems a bit steep considering you'll need to buy 2-4 of these units in many situations. Plus, it looks good, is sturdy, easy to assemble, and seems pretty blast-proof.
