Review on Get Accurate Navigation With Proster'S Professional Military Compass - Perfect For Camping, Hunting, Hiking And Geology Activities! by Robert Viher

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Really heavy but solid and a great price.

This thing is a brick, but if weight is not an issue it's a really good bang for your buck. It settles fast and smoothly and stays true with a fair amount of movement provided it's level. If you need accuracy from the clinometer you may want to look at another product - the pendulum on mine sticks, requiring a tap or two to dislodge it. I never have need for a clinometer so it's not an issue for me. At first the bezel was really hard to move but it loosened up well enough after working it a bit. There is a focus knob (?) on the eyepiece that seems to do nothing but I have no problem reading the bearing. Other than that, everything is where it needs to be and works as it should. The instructions are quite entertaining.

Pros
  • ‎Proster
Cons
  • The magnetism of the compass may interfere with nearby electronics
