I know there are many like me who have had problems with the M-Audio FW-410 sound card connecting to their computers via the port Firewire works. When I was creating a new DAW for my studio, I knew this was one of the most important parts I needed to get it working properly. So I settled on the SIIG 3PORT NN-E38012-S3 Firewire 800 Pcie card hoping it would work. This is the Texas Instruments chipset. I know M-Audio recommends SIIG, and I can. My sound card worked fine every time I started it up with this FireWire card.
