Great quality, beautiful design and high strength

I really like this clip. It's made in Taiwan, not China, and in my experience the difference is huge. The design and execution of this clip is superb and I would not hesitate to combine it with my (German) Besseys. There are several models, so check out the others to find the one that suits you best. This model has a flat metal lower jaw with multiple degrees of rotation. The lever comes out of the jaws when fully open, which can cause interference when you're on a flat edge such as a car. B. pinch a worktop with an apron. The other model has plastic pads on both sides (no hinge) and the spirit level does not protrude beyond the jaw (with a slightly shorter clamping distance). The jaws appear to be made from a forged aluminum alloy. Whatever they are, they are strong. When clamped there is no visible flex. I fully believe in the 300 kg claim. These are the first (decent) lever operated clamps I've had, and I find it handy to click in a modest hold while still leveling everything, and then click another or two for a full clamp. They also appear to be just an entry ticket to get the job done on the bench. You simply move the movable sponge to the stop and then clamp it with a lever. Please note that the jaw opening adjustment is linear and not incremental like the serrated clamps. So you can easily adjust them depending on the workpiece. I also expect it to be easier to scrape off blobs of glue. The steel bar is an "I-beam" (more like an hourglass in cross-section) that optimizes strength versus weight and material cost.

Pros
  • Clamp: 12" (300mm) and Neck Depth: 3.15" (80mm)
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
