Not best impressed in my rating

I was really looking forward to using this monitor and when I opened the box, set the screen up on my desk and turned it on I was disappointed because part of the screen is dimmer than the other half. I looked it up and it says my screen is broken and I need to get a new one! How can I send a broken screen! And now the screen does not even turn on and does not write a signal!
