Pull the old handle straight up, leaving the spring in place. Install the new handle while holding the button down. Release the button and move the handle up and down until the button clicks into place. Pull up on the black plastic part of the frame and push into place, pull up on the chrome plastic part and push into place. Try not to pull the handle up while doing these last 2 steps or you'll curse the heap and start over. Repeat as needed. Treat this new pen like a jewel.
