Extra Wide doesn't feel too wide.
Overall I am happy with the shoe, I went for a very wide one as it was out of stock, glad I did as even the EW felt snug from side to side . I'm sure they won't break in width and the shoe itself is very comfortable and looks good. However if you have very wide feet this can be a problem, I usually wear 12W and as mentioned it is 12EW and they fit snugly around my feet so someone with very wide feet might have an issue.
