Fits my 2002 Sport Trac. His license plate light was burned out and I took it out to look at the license plate. At the same time, the housing for fastening the lamp socket broke - old and brittle. Found this replacement for Revain, ordered 2 to replace both bulbs as the second could have had the same issue. I also ordered two replacement LED bulbs. I installed it and was immediately surprised at how cheap and thin the plastic case is. I didn't like the shiny surface either. Replacing the lamps and the housing did not take much time. The lamps had to be adjusted at the wire contacts to ensure good contact. The socket fitted perfectly into the case, and the case stood normally. It doesn't fit exactly as there is a small gap at the bottom where it meets the bumper. Both worked well and did what was needed to light up the license plate. I think that's all that matters. How long it will take? The time will show.
