When the device works as intended, it's an elegant solution to the trash can problem. However, my unit failed within the first week of ownership - the door hinge friction was loose and the door had difficulty moving to either the fully up or fully down position. This prevented the use of the raking robots and resulted in me removing the litter manually with a shovel. After several resets and referring to the FAQ, I made a video of the door's behavior and sent a detailed request to the support team. Although a response was expected, it did not meet the advertised 12 hours, nor was it effective or helpful. What it was was a busy back and forth process asking for receipts and dates and not a good faith attempt to help me solve my problem. Compliance is more important than service as I tugged on all fours. The final straw was a follow-up email, now escalated, asking for a video (already submitted) and a technical assessment (already submitted) of the issue. The return deadline was approaching and I didn't think the timing and cultural differences would translate into real tech support. Great device but don't waste your time with customer/tech support. If you don't have enough time and patience, you're practically on your own.
