Revainrating 5 out of 5

That's exactly what I wanted.

Looks cheap but works almost perfectly. I had a downloaded file that I had edited in the DVD Fab program (for audio levels and trims) and it froze when I tried to play it, connected to a 5 year old TV. It was the first file I tried in the media player and it froze too. I edited the original file with a newer version of DVD Fab and played it in full. I tried numerous other files and they all worked fine. I even tried a video over 5GB and it played, but I only let it play for 5 minutes. The aspect ratio of 4:3 and 16:9 looks good. The 16:9 aspect ratio is stretched vertically on my old USB TV plug-in. The power cord could be a bit longer. Cheap device, so cheap picture quality. I would say the quality is similar to what I get with terrestrial TV. Works well with videos I recorded to disc with a 2004-2014 DVR and transferred to an external drive. Recent downloads don't work that well. The first commercial break in the video causes the sound to be out of sync with the picture. TubiTv download works pretty well. 12/14/2020 The sound has to be doubled compared to a regular TV for me to hear it. No failure yet.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • So far so good
