Popped right out of the box and it was completely dead. I wouldn't give any stars but that's not an option. I think I could give a star for it arriving safe and sound and if it worked it would be a handy little fan. If there really is a quality control procedure, then someone hasn't done their job. They either skipped a performance test, or after not working they just threw it in the box anyway. It is possible that something was broken upon delivery, but in this case the goods were not very stable or poorly packaged for transport. I took a chance and asked for a replacement, but if that's the case I have something on my wish list from another company. The second one didn't work properly (only high speed worked) so I returned both and bought a completely different brand that worked great.
