Review on πŸ•οΈ Naturehike Backpacking Tent: Lightweight, Waterproof & Spacious for Solo Camping – Includes Footprint by Darrell Beecher

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good value but a bit cramped

Disclaimer: I have not actually used this tent, just set it up in my backyard to see how it handles the weather. corners first. If you don't, things can get a little out of hand. With practice I think the installation time will be around 2-3 minutes. Waterproof: I installed this about 24 hours ago and it rained for about 18 hours. there is good. When checking inside the tent, the mesh is completely dry but there is some dew/condensation on the underside of the flysheet. Water does not seep around the perimeter of the floor or into the corners (usually where it enters). Until the water penetrates, the raincoat sags and usually sticks to the short sides of the tent. This will likely impede airflow and increase condensation during actual use. Overall Impression: For the price paid ($95), this seems like a good choice. Setup is pretty quick and easy. It appears to be fairly waterproof, but like all Sil nylons, the rain cover will stretch a bit when wet. This is most problematic on the short sides of the fly, so I'll add some guy lines with shock absorbers there, and maybe also replace the webbing on the back of the fly with shock absorbers (because the webbing is pretty short so it limits the distance in which you can mark this page) . Also, it's narrow in size for me (only 6ft). I mean when I lie down my toes are resting on the mesh at the end of my foot and my head is inches from the top mesh. If the visor sags at these ends it may cause the foot box or pad/hood to get wet. Also, I think it will be a bit stuffy in warm weather. Again, the addition of two guys in the middle of those short sides should take care of that. This doesn't make the tent any longer, but at least it breathes better. For people under 6ft (mostly I bought this for my son who is about 5ft 6in) it should be fine.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No cannon
