UPDATE: 6 months of daily use and they still work like day one! I still recommend them! ORIGINAL TEST: Works great! You can try to slam them, but he catches a few inches and closes them quietly. We'll put them on top of each "door" style cabinet I have in the picture below. one of the last steps to finish our kitchen. Very happy with it. I replaced all the old ones that were the same style, I didn't have any "fit" issues like some of the other reviews I read before purchasing. They are all bi-directional so you MUST adjust them after installation to keep your doors hanging straight. There's no getting around it, but it's pretty easy to do. As long as the product is of good quality.
