My husband is short so I did have to hem these about an inch but that's normal for most slacks. These have plenty of pockets and are of a good fabric to dry quickly when he wears them on a boat. They fit him well and he looks nice in them so I have no problem with him wearing them when we go out as he has a habit of doing. He says they are very comfortable and he loves the fact that when they get wet, they dry very quickly. He works outside a lot and is constantly getting holes in his clothing, so I like the fact that the rip-stop material seems pretty resistent to hard usage. He hasn't torn them yet, anyway.
