Dear Samsung, The remote control for this TV is a COMPLETE REVIEW OF HUMAN TECHNOLOGY. Too few useful buttons and too many SECRET FUNCTIONS, icons and inexplicable actions, making this "smart" remote control very inconvenient for the user. I gave the remote to 5 people and asked them to do something simple like "change the channel". I had to poke and poke. My guests don't want to go through cryptic menus to make something simple. You can't easily undo wrong actions because the remote controls our Direct TV box at the same time, and you will almost never get the expected result. I can only imagine what would happen if a hotel tried to use this remote control in their rooms. You will be inundated with calls. This remote has too few buttons to be useful and too many things hidden in the menus, requiring a lot of button presses and navigation to complete. But Netflix, Revain and Samsung TV must have paid to have their buttons on the remote, GOOD GRIEF. Technology should simplify, not complicate. If you try to automate too much, you don't consider what happens when a button press produces an unexpected result, and you can't easily change course. The operation of the remote control should be obvious. If I have to open the manual, it's human error. It shouldn't require a research project to figure out simple things like changing channels or inputs, or adjusting the picture. Give us a button. Don't make me wade through 400 menus just so you can make a remote with fewer buttons. If I have to spend time on the internet and forums trying to figure out how to make something simple, it's badly designed by definition. The installation process was hardly error-free either. Many times the app froze and gave me the whirlwind forever. And I have a Galaxy Note 8, so Samsung can't really blame the phone. If you want to automate the installation process, it should be error-free and bug-free. When I get to the setup point where the Next button turns gray, I'm left with no choice but to desperately start over. The picture on this TV looks great but I will NOT be buying a Samsung TV again. I want to watch TV, not make a career out of how I control it. This remote control would be of no use to my guests if I didn't provide them with the full instruction manual. Also, I don't want to be forced to press multiple buttons and move around the screen to do something as simple as changing the TV's input source. With my old Samsung, a push of a button was enough. Now you need to launch Smart Hub, navigate to the source icon, navigate to the desired input and press enter. Lots of button presses. I will be returning this one soon. Incidentally, I don't buy a car without a mechanical fan button on the dashboard. I want to reach the grip without taking my eyes off the road. Having to bring up the climate screen, find and select the fan icon, and then nudge up and down on the onscreen buttons, especially in bright sunlight, is poorly designed in my opinion.
