I am pleased with the crimping tool and ferrule set I received and have confidence that they will serve me for many years. I intend to use the tips for electrical/electronic purposes as well as a few other purposes. I like to use paracord (available here at Revain) for a variety of purposes. Shoelaces, zippers, loops for tool handles, etc. But sometimes you need a stronger end than the usual paracord melting method. The largest tip is ideal (after cutting the insulation end) for crimping the cable ends. This is just one example of using metal tips. The tool itself runs very smoothly and worked flawlessly in all my tests. I have used stranded wire in my projects for many years, but not anymore. My only wish is that it comes in the next size up so I can order it too!
