Review on 🎀 High-performance Shure SM58 Handheld Dynamic Vocal Microphone: Unleash Your Vocals with Unmatched Clarity and Power by Johnny Bowen

hammer microphones. It should be in your tool box.

A very durable quality mic that will last almost forever even when struck and given appropriate abuse, making it the standard for live sound - a hammer that should be in every live sound toolbox . There are mics that sound better for specific purposes, but the SM58 marks a point where cheaper mics tend to be junk and better mics cost more money (and probably still aren't as durable). Good for vocals or as an instrument mic (same as the SM57 except for the windscreen which has a *small* impact on pickup character). Get the version *without* the on/off switch. The person running your soundbar will appreciate never having to deal with vocals not being heard because the singer turned off the mic while they're troubleshooting on the soundbar - and the audience will appreciate that. ! Better quality is achieved with microphones that do not have an on/off switch. ;-)
