My daughter is 5.5 and this size 5-6 dress fits as expected. It fits her perfectly now but if I wanted it to last two seasons I would happily go bigger. My daughter loves the look. this dress but says it itches where the skirt meets the bodice. It doesn't itch when you touch it, but in some places the tulle sticks out of the overlock seam. If your child is sensitive to the feel of the fabric I would not recommend this dress. I think a long tank top underneath this dress will completely take away the itch. The. The metal star, moon and dots are just stickers on the outer layer of tulle. They come off by the dozen when you wash them. My daughter's hair even got caught between the stickers and the tulle.
