I bought my wife a new 2019 13" MacBook Pro so it only has two USB-C ports. She wanted to watch movies on a big screen, so she needed an HDMI output as well as the ability to connect multiple USB drives. I was looking for a docking station with this cable because I knew she wanted a nice case to put on the MacBook. Other docks that plug directly into the side of your computer will not work with the cover in place. It works great, plug and play, no problem.
