I purchased two 2 x 10 x 10 foot pine boards and cut them to 9 foot 3 inch lengths (wall width). four screws and three more drywall screws to securely attach the three shelf brackets. I used a laser level and laser range finder to carefully measure the distance between each bracket. I used a hand drill to make sure I drilled the holes straight into the side of the 2x10 boards after carefully measuring the location of the holes with a laser gauge. The shelves fit very snugly and require no screws to keep from slipping to prevent you need to do that, but in this case it wasn't necessary. Now my wife just has to choose the color of the stains and I will remove and stain them.
