This bracket is perfect ! I used it to make a fold away 28"X28" Game table in my Man cave, the table is used for playing Dominoes, checkers Back gammon , of just a table for two while having a drink or eating a burger. . I purchased 2 sets and may buy more. its definitely a must have if you're a craftsman, AND I AM!

There was another review that I wish I had seen that discussed how razor sharp the edges are near the latch that you use to release. It is no lie and not realizing how sharp, I sliced my finger wide open. I am shocked how sharp the metal is right next to the release latches. They do work as advertised and it's holding a fairly heavy shelf but I will need to figure a way to dull the edges down. As another reviewer mentioned, maybe sanding it would help? The price was right for these to entice me to make my own folding shelves inside our new trailer. they are just sturdy enough for lightwieght stuff like sleeping bags, but I woudl not trust them to hold anythign heavey, certianly not what the stated rating is of a couple hundered pounds. no way. and not sturdy enough for an actual work bench attachment I saw in other reveiwes. . overall pretty happy though

I used the folding Shelf Brackets to create a stowage counter extension for my travel trailer. I used a piece of Zebrawood for the shelf and the install was fairly simple.Care must be taken to measure all locations to insure proper alignment. It did take some fine tuning with the Brackets to get the to close properly every time. Well made and holds heavy tools in my studio. The fact that I can fold the shelf down with ease is an added plus. I have recommended these brackets to friends and will continue to recommend them.

The two diagonal supports are weak. Put 200-300lbs on the two bracket and these not only flexed under the weight, but also permanently bowed those supports so that when folded it did not close completely. Would not trust these brackets at 300lbs, let alone 500lbs.If you want something that’ll hold under 150lbs, fine. But, otherwise, I’d look elsewhere. Found others (outside Revain) that were rated for 800lbs and the quality of those far surpasses what these brackets offer. Also, higher price…

Installed two 12 inch shelves using 5/4 lumber used for decking in an outside, covered lakeside dock. The shelves allow us maximum useable space a but provide an area for working with food and drink when needed. The folding shelf brackets are ideal for our purposes. The only thing thAt might be questionable is the size of the screws provided for bracket attachment.

I used it for mounting a sidetable next to my gas grill on our patio. Stainless steel and strong enough to do the job and still hold up in outside conditions. It folds easily by disengaging two levers on the angled braces. It loses 1 star because they cheaped out with the provided screws which in my opinion are not stout enough to safely hold the loads intended. I purchased a package of 1" x #10 stainless steel pan head screws from Revain for my application and they worked well.

Like how sturdy this is. I use it for my folding workbench top in garage. I will say the included screws wouldn’t do it for me so I used 2 1/2 inch cabinet screws and screwed then to studs in wall. The screws to attach to the workbench top that were included were fine.I first attached the brackets to wall in studs.Making sure they will be level using a LevelThen opened it up and put the work bench top on top and then screwed the brackets to the bench top.

I like these. they are sturdy and now that I have my desk up, they work quite well. BUT the installation was difficult. The problem is a design flaw with the two sliding buttresses (that hold most of the weight when extended) are very close to one another not letting you to get a drill, cordless screwdriver or a manual screw driver in between them. I assume all similar products on amazon will have this problem unless they plan for holes on the top bar so you can drill the screws into the wall…

I used these for a computer table in my room. I currently have a monitor, plant and laptop on top of it. It seems sturdy and strong. I lean on it all the time and even laid my head down on the table. The only con is that the screws and plastic wall inserts that it came with were terrible and could not support any weight. I bought new screws and wall inserts at home depot for $4 and it worked out great.

While the unit, itself, is sturdy enough, the mounting screws provided are woefully inadequate. If you expect this unit to support any substantial weight, you will need to use much larger screws, and ensure that you are mounting the brackets directly into a stud.Also, be aware that the machine-punched edges of the piece-parts are quite sharp. Installation of several of the screws require close proximity to the cut edges. I recommend wearing work gloves during the install.

Installation was difficult and had to be repositioned due to the bottom bracket warping when installing. Make sure to predrill your holes, you will also need a long Phillips head screwdriver. I used these brackets to make a folding tailgate table for my car camper van from scrap pieces of wood.

Used the folding brackets to support a 16” x 24” extension table for my bandsaw. I have a small work space and the folding feature is great.Very sturdy and very easy to install.I’m now going to check my other work surfaces to see if they can be modified to be more space efficient using these brackets.

These brackets aren’t even close to square, they’re off by 1/4 inch over the 16 inch span (see picture). The finish quality is also terrible, the description specifically claims it is deburred but I doubt it. There isn’t a single sheet metal edge that doesn’t feel like it is cutting your hands when you pick these up.

The brackets worked great for installing a folding shelf on my pellet grill. Bought a wooden cutting board and screwed it to the brackets. Folding shelf installed.

I do not like the legs that go down the wall because they are too short. I think for the money they could have make them to match the other leg so 2-3 more inches. That said what remains it a very weak made bracket just not designed very well imo.

We got these to put a table in our Camper that can be up when parked and fold down when we travel for more space. East to use. East to install. Worth the $.

These were perfect for my fold down laundry table. We put one in each stud on the wall, attached a 48inch x 16 inch board and it is very sturdy. The only issue was one side was slightly bent out of place so it didnt fold flush but was easily corrected. You need a drill bit extension to make life easier when installing.
