Bought last minute for the New Orleans conference. After purchase I was a little worried as some reviews mentioned that the tube didn't hold up well when adjusted and some reviewers even mentioned having to use duct tape to secure it! But here's my two cents: If your poster is at a longer scale (closer to the maximum tube length), I'd recommend buying something longer. The tube isn't very strong when fully extended, but will do for a poster somewhere in the middle (34 inches). The hose itself slipped a few times, but if I held the carry strap tight and loose enough to fit over my shoulder, the hose stayed the correct length. If you are worried that the tube will slip off and damage the poster when the tube slipped and shortened, it has never damaged my poster. The color was surprisingly beautiful, looked professional and stood out against an endless sea of standard black poster tubes. When empty/at its shortest length, it easily fits in my checked baggage.
