Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good purchase.

I use with D3100. Before that, I used only whale 18-55. Now the whale is lying in a bag, I rarely get it, only when I need a wide angle. I took 50 mm especially for a portrait, and for low light, but it suits a lot. I did not regret a bit as I started shooting with him. After the acquisition, after the first three shots, I realized how awesome he was and there was no limit to joy. This is the lens thanks to which you will get a lot of pleasure from the received photos. With this lens, even on budget models like my 3100, you can take great pictures.

Pros

Compact, lightweight, bright. Suitable for walking. Beautiful bokeh. Takes wonderful pictures. Worth the money to the last penny. Such a lens must be taken and no doubt. Shoots in the most difficult light conditions. For a picture, light from 3 candles is enough (for example, a person with a cake)

Cons

If you shoot a video, then it is slightly twitchy if your hands are shaking. because there is no VR. It is advisable to wear a light filter as protection against dust.

An excellent lens for a beginner who is already tired of whale lenses. It is recommended to get a wide-angle lens later on, because don't forget that on a crop your 50mm is equivalent to 75mm.
