Works and is a great replacement

I have a laptop that is 7-8 years old. This is Gigabyte P25. Over time, the WiFi card lost its ability to connect to our WiFi. I was looking for a substitute for an exact match. My WLAN adapter also had built-in Bluetooth. I stumbled across this card and saw that it was almost an exact replacement. There were some cheaper brands out there, but I figured it was best to stick with what worked on my old laptop for years. I was glad I did. The device was well packaged. It was wrapped in bubble wrap along with an anti-static bag. After removing the back cover of the laptop, I found a wireless card. There are two cables attached to the card and a screw to hold it in place. I used a small tool, pliers to pry the connectors out and a 000 size Philips to remove the screw. The card behaves similarly to memory when inserted at a 45 degree angle and then depressed. The old card was removed and the new one entered with no problem (as it should be). The screw then went in with no problem and the two cables (Bluetooth and Wi-Fi) connected with some pressure to "pop" them in place. The lid was soon put back on and the computer turned on. No "stocks" was not at all. Everything went smoothly. The adapter was turned on and connected. The signal strength has gotten much better (from 40% to 80%). The card works fine even without drivers (remember that I replaced them with analogues of the same brand). I assume that this will continue for a few more years. Should help keep my son connected throughout the home school scenario. If that changes, I will of course update my review.
