I'm just beginning my crochet journey, with an interest more in Amigurumi (crochet dolls) than clothing and accessories, but I don't think this kit was a good choice for a beginner.I'm not sure if I'm just missing something because I am new, or if the yarn that comes with this kit just isn't good, but it comes apart very easily and it's so thin that I can't even see the stitch loops.I would've gotten a better deal if I'd just bought some thicker yarn and the crochet tools separately from another supplier. The only use I can see for this yarn is either with stitching pieces together (assuming you can color match well enough) or adding small accents to your projects, not for the crochet itself.Perhaps those more skilled at crochet can get more use out of the yarn in this set, but I'm not at that stage myself.
