I can't stand the feel of wooden spoons (or most raw wooden spoons). I categorically refused to use wooden spoons for many years. However, I've found that my nice pots and pans get scratched by metal utensils and my plastic ones just aren't strong enough. They have silicone grips so I don't have to touch the wood! The perfect solution! Except that it isn't. I used a rimmed spoon once. hand wash. When washing, we found that there was wood putty or some type of putty in that crack. Filler that came out immediately when we started washing it (by hand) and it started to look split as the trimming immediately came off. VERY disappointed because I was so hoping to find a solution but NO so I guess I'll try to get it back.
