I bought this to replace the filter basket for my pop ups in my pool. It was better than the plastic bottles I bought almost twice as many of. However, I often had to replace them because they were cracked. This was suggested by another Revain customer in their review. At first it was very strong and did its job perfectly, but the ring that acts as a filter came loose. It looks like the ring has been spot welded to the wire mesh of the basket. This is perfect for my 8-1/4 diameter rim. It's all stainless steel and even has two fold out handles to remove it. It appears that the welds may not have been compatible with stainless steel, a much more corrosive environment, and developed rust. If I had to buy 2 more of these a year I'd be way ahead. I have to empty it more because it collects everything. This is the cleanest pool I have had in 3 years.
