We love them and have bought several over the past 10 years. Unfortunately I used the distance and used their weight chart to choose the size. I should have noticed the photo of a Maine Coon cat standing next to XL! Our MC Beast weighs 14 pounds, indicating a "big" door on the map. He can go through the door, but he has to squeeze through, causing the blade to get stuck in the up position. I thought to take more and cut another hole. But he has no problem with that and likes to keep mosquitoes away and doesn't have to keep pacing to open and close the door! Easy to cut to the width of the door - we used plywood to make our own screen door.
