This kettle had a very good but very short lifespan of only 6 months. This was my second Ovente kettle. I bought the first one in 2015 and it worked for 16 months. I bought the second kettle in November 2017 and it stopped working in May 2018 - so it only worked for 6 months. I have to admit - I use it at least twice a day. It looks very nice and works great while it works and comes in many colors. I will try to contact the company and see if they offer a guarantee. Wait for updates. Update: Ovente customer support got back to me right away and sent a replacement within a week. They did a great job on the warranty service which is why my rating went from 1 to 3 stars. But overall I think they should extend the life of this product by at least three years. Another update: I got a replacement boiler under warranty but it doesn't work. It will not turn off automatically after boiling water. I waited two minutes and manually turned off the kettle. It seems that the manufacturing company Ovente has very serious problems with the quality of their products. I sent them an inquiry and again waited for an answer.
