I got it for my son hiking. You are cool and bright on his bike. The only problem is that they are a cheap design which results in the battery spring connection having a tiny thin protrusion that presses against a pin on the circuit board connected to the switch. Any slight vibration and communication is lost. I've tried soldering this connection and it still won't work until the switch is pressed. which defeats the purpose. The strip is bright at 3AA and the range of modes is excellent. I just want it to be stable.
