I wear them as water shoes when I swim in our lake because of the rocks and striped mussels. They fit and are comfortable, but they fit better than traditional Crocs and feel more secure due to the tight back strap. This keeps them on their feet, so that you can, for example, walk around a bit comfortably. I doubt you can put socks in, but they're designed for bare feet, so it's fine. It takes a bit more effort to slip them on and off than standard Crocs, so I've found that when both are around I'll take the standard Crocs for a quick walk outside, or these when I'm in the water go. Everyone has their own place.
