As I got older, basketball and running made my calves very tight. So tight that both calves are tender to the touch. Since I tore my right Achilles tendon many years ago and I certainly don't want to tear my left one as well, I was looking for a calf massager. This massager applies variable pressure to the top or bottom of the calves, which seems to provide some relief. I was surprised how much pressure it can generate. I usually use it on low settings as the highest settings are too much for me. But it's nice to know that he can apply that pressure when I need it. The principle of operation is that the control module receives power, pumps and releases air pressure into the socks. A simple idea but seems effective. If I have any complaints it would be the noise the module makes which can get a bit loud on a quiet night with the TV off.
