It's easy to use, just plug it in and choose your preferred ozone, ozone/ion, ion option. I leave it on ozone and it's low. You can smell its light fragrance. This is NOT overwhelming ozone. It smells like someone used bleach in the room 20 minutes ago. I have it in the bottom outlet of the outlet and not blocking the top outlet. You can place this in either the top or bottom outlet. It just gives the room a very clean scent which I love.
