I didn't see any smaller screws. You will fail.
To change the batteries you have to remove 4 or smallest screws I've seen. I don't have a screwdriver small enough. If you're trying to change batteries in the field and drop them, most likely because you can't hold them with your fingers, you'll never find them. / A tiny regular screwdriver was included, but Phillips screws. / I bought two of these, but only one works.
