I'm preparing for Shark Week 2016 with this Zoku fish shape. I have purchased several of their products and have never had a problem with them (I have several ice cream molds, an ice cream freezer bowl and several different pop molds including this one). I have also tried many of their other products while working at Williams-Sonoma. You can rely on this brand. The quality of their products is outstanding and I mean every Zoku product I've ever had the privilege of using. They stand behind their products and provide excellent customer service if you have a problem, need a replacement part, or have a question about usage or care. This pop maker includes six silicone molds of a shark, diver, squid, clown fish, whale and puffer fish. They make perfectly sized pops for little hands or for something cool and cute on a hot summer day. There are many recipes for fruit pops on the internet, or you can buy a book. Although it freezes "slowly" (Zoku is great for quick pops too) meaning you put them in the fridge and wait for them to freeze the old fashioned way, they seem to freeze faster in silicone molds. Even my silicone Zoku ice ball molds freeze faster than plastic ice ball molds. The real joy of making bubbly in a quality silicone mold is that it's easy to pop out when frozen as you can just pull on it and the silicone will easily pop out and separate from the ice. The sticks are good and have standard holes to allow the ice to freeze through and the fizz to stay securely on the stick. But they take it a step further by adding little fishbones and skeletons to each of the chopsticks. Very charming. Each shape has its own special stick (for example, a whale has a whale tail and a diver has legs with fins). I haven't used it to make lollipops or chocolate but I'm sure it's perfect for that, especially chocolate. You could probably make a pretty cake with white chocolate sharks popping out of blue water icing. Free from BPA and phthalates. Not dishwasher safe but VERY easy to hand wash.
