Review on 🚰 Moen 6610ORB Brantford Two Handle Bathroom Faucet: Timeless Elegance for Your Bathroom by Tim Beardsley

We installed this faucet in our basement bathroom and noticed almost immediately that it ended up dripping. No big deal, I blasted the leads and cleaned the aerator but it kept dripping. I contacted Moen customer service (which is actually pretty good - thanks to them they were finally able to help even during a global pandemic) and they sent me new cartridges. I replaced them, repeated the same steps, but it was still dripping from the end. I contacted Moen support again and they sent me a brand new faucet with new cartridges installed. I did the same steps, blasted the lines, it was still dripping from the end. I contacted Moen customer service a third time as they said I have older cartridge models and they needed to send me refurbished ones. I told them the part number was 1234 but they sent them anyway and insisted they were refurbished. When we received them they were identical but we replaced them anyway following the same steps and they were still dripping. I was confused so I called Moen support for the 4th time and they said that while they can't refund my money they could send a different but similar model. The one sent was the Kingsley High Arc ORB. Works great the first time, no dripping or fiddling with the post. We don't have high/low water pressure or particularly hard water, it's unlikely I've gotten that many bad units in a row so the only conclusion is bad design. They gave me some 60% off coupons, but the Moen website is grossly overpriced - the Kingsley replacement they sent me was $550. This was my first Moen product after installing cheap Pfister faucets (which always seem to work well). I was surprised that her reputation didn't stand up. Skip this model and select an older installed model. Regardless of the review, I've also installed it in a non-overflow sink, but the drain line was just an overflow - I contacted Moen to see if I could purchase a non-overflow drain with no holes and they said they couldn't could do it to them. It was just a lesson I learned because overflow sinks are almost standard, although I just bought this one at my local big store. There are currently only a handful of non-spillable third party sinks available and unfortunately they are plastic so I ended up with a degraded installation but I blame the sink manufacturer more.
