II I'm kinda starting to ride a bike. My kid recently started cycling and gave up training wheels, but we live in a "spot lot" not next door. That means the only place she can ride is our driveway or we have to go to a place where we can ride together. We drove the local railway line. It's a great trail but it's paved and pretty flat so my old Huffy mountain bike just wasn't up to the task and that prompted me to buy a (used) commuter/cruise bike that's better for that actual driving is suitable. Yes (and something not originally bought in a department store). To be honest I would never do anything that would require MTB, the Huffy was a heavy beast with an uncomfortable fit for the light riding I do. With this purchase, I also started upgrading my cycling gear in general. . I was actually wearing a DOT approved motorcycle helmet, a simple brain bucket style with no face or anything because that's what I had on hand. It's pretty safe, but certainly overkill, heavier and less breathable than a real bike helmet. So I bought a proper bike helmet but it has all the holes for weight reduction and ventilation which is great overall. However, I'm bald, and unless I wanted to have weird leopard sunburns on my head, I needed a way to protect myself from the sun. All of this suggests that these skullcaps are perfect for it. They are thin, light, wick moisture well and protect from the sun. For me they fit snug but comfortable and I can either pull them off to cover my ears or roll them up to keep them out. They are thin enough to even fit under my other hats without significantly altering their fit. I've washed one and I don't even put them in the dryer, just lay them out and they dry very quickly. I suspect they're quick and easy to hand wash as well, although I've used the machine with the other items and they've held up great. There are seams on the inside but they aren't thick enough to irritate me. For the price an absolute purchase recommendation and I award 5 stars!
