Just pop one of these in my microwave and it caught fire in just 10 seconds. My kitchen filled with smoke. I can't imagine what would happen if my kids put it down for a few minutes and walked away. Looking back at the information on these plates, hidden in the long description of the site under the heading "easy to clean", it says don't use the microwave. In my opinion, this isn't enough to warn you that you can't reheat a paper plate in the microwave. That issue aside, the plates were great. They just need a clearer warning about this serious security issue.
