I have 2 old PCs that I want to dispose of, one of them is an HP Touchsmart that I didn't really want to disassemble, just to destroy the hard drive. The Destruct Disk came in handy. It arrived quickly in perfect condition. I followed the instructions (6 short steps) and just let it sink in. Plug the key fob into a USB port and press (at least on HP) the ESC key to boot from the Destruct disk. The process uses a three pass process. Playthrough 1 lasted about two hours, but you don't have to watch, so it's okay. A CRC check error occurred on the second pass, so I had to start the process three times before the second pass began. If I could suggest the developer to handle the bug a little more carefully that would be great, but it really doesn't matter. The second round had to go through the night and lasted almost 24 hours! But it's a pass that actually destroys your data and verifies that it should be destroyed, so it does a great job. Also, I'm getting rid of this computer because it's so slow. The third pass carries out the final cleaning and is completed in about an hour. And this computer is completely dead. There is NOTHING left on this hard drive! In general I am very satisfied with the product and the seller.
