I use two of these lights with 40W PAR 16 LED spotlights to bounce the light off the walls when I'm viewing a wall mounted plasma TV. I have lights on the floor aimed at the stereo speakers and then reflected off the walls on either side of the screen. The brightness is spot on and no light reflects off the screen or the TV's glossy frame. You need to be aware that the ball holding the bulb is just loose in the base, the power cord provides some tension to keep the ball from moving. In my case it didn't matter, I could just move the whole device to direct the light, but if you thought you could position the bulb in the stand precisely, you can't do that without adjusting the base to any angle you like want. Also, the black plastic surround was broken on arrival in one of the bulbs so I just removed it from the other bulb and the PAR 16 bulb fits snugly. bulb holder and it stays in place, forget it. If the light isn't visible or doesn't matter how you position it, you're fine. In general, the workmanship is okay, the power cable and switch appear to be of high quality and not wobbly.
