Read the instructions. My last stove was induction, but all stoves are different.

I used it for the first time last night. After finding out it was blocked, it was fine after that. I like the smooth, unfinished upper. The timer doesn't ring, so if you're using it for cooking, you'll need to keep an eye on it.
