We have ordered four of these bottles in different sizes and colours. Good things first: The powder-coated finish is unique and feels much more durable than the painted finish on similar bottles we've bought in the past, which always seem to chip or peel after a few months. It looks like it will hold up much better. The colors are bright and vibrant and we love this 12 ounce design and size for our younger daughter to use as her everyday water bottle at school. It fits nicely in the side water bottle pocket of your backpack. We've been using it for two or three weeks now and haven't had any problems. Remove the silicone ring from the lid, wash the rest in the dishwasher. The silicone ring is easy to put back on and doesn't seem to stretch. Now for the bad: As another reviewer mentioned, the lids are difficult to screw on and off. The outside of the lid spins freely, so you never know if it's tight or not (unless you shake it vigorously over the sink to check for leaks, which I do). It also makes it difficult to remove the cover. The trick we found is that you have to apply constant, strong upward pressure on the underside of the cap as you unscrew it. Even so, it may take some trial and error to free it. Love love love the powder coating, they don't bleed and they're about half the price of similar bottles when we bought them. We will not return them, but we will not order them again unless there is evidence that the cap has been altered. It's not worth the frustration and extra 5-10 seconds every time you want to take the lid off to drink.
