My son is 8 years old and obsessed with dominoes and Lili Heves. When he saw that she had made her own dominoes, he had to have them. He had a set of regular wooden dominoes and I didn't think there would be much of a difference. But I gave up anyway and bought them. And the difference is really big! They are made of plastic but are definitely more durable than wood. You will feel the weight difference. The corners are sharper. And they are indeed sturdier when built. They make a nicer sound when they fall, they fall better (they don't slide as much when they fall and hence the design looks cooler), the colors are very nice and they've changed what it can. to build. We have already bought 3 sets and I'm sure we will be buying many more. So for any parents with domino-obsessed kids wondering if the price difference is worth it, for us it definitely was.
