The original dishwasher basket had plastic wheel holders and each wheel eventually broke. This upgrade costs half the cost of replacing a wheel from the manufacturer. So I got four for half the price of one if I had bought another original replacement. With this upgrade, the metal will certainly be better able to support the heavier weight of the lower dishwasher basket. A flaw in the original design should have been covered by the warranty but that didn't happen and I'm glad I have this updated replacement which is just like my original just with the metal bracket. Easy to install: put the bottom in first, then do them one by one for easy reference.
