I tried about 7 pairs of shoes - all different brands - named and generic. But most felt they lacked padding. Those that were lined and comfortable were more like hiking boots and lacked lateral control. As a last hello Maria I ordered these shoes. you have everything They are so comfortable and have more toe room (important for some older people). Sounds like it's well designed. Give them a try - I don't think you'll be disappointed (unless you want a well-known brand).
