This is a great looking bag, the insert converts it into a roomy yet comfortable shoulder bag and there are some really useful pockets at either end as well as a zip pocket on the front (perfect for a phone and sunglasses ), keys, etc.). This is the perfect size when you need a little extra space but don't want a large bag. After reading a few other reviews before purchasing, I figured some reviewers might be particularly sensitive to certain scents. nope This thing smells like death. BUT, this is a well-constructed $30 leather hobo bag. I'll hold back for now. I now have a bag and insert in the freezer, each filled with a coffee filter filled with baking soda. I hope to exorcise evil from there. Hopefully will update with news that this bag is no longer peeling paint off my walls. ****Update: The smell is almost gone! This bag is really well constructed; It has endured brutal overloading and fairly rough wear and tear from a recent trip, as well as rainy streets and subway traffic.
