I've been using the c-clamp method for years but it doesn't work on my 2016 Mazda 6 rear brakes. The set worked great on my wife from 2007. Scion and Mazda front brakes that use traditional caliper pistons. 2016 Mazda 6 rear brakes with electronic brakes installed need to be "rewired". That's why I bought this kit. The piston head has three triangular notches that only match the plate at position 10. Unfortunately, the spacing turned out to be wrong as I couldn't manually insert the struts into all three holes. Also, the posts were much longer than the others, and even if they matched the spacing, I couldn't get the plate and stop plate in the caliper at the same time. If there is a suitable number plate for my car make/year. I'd definitely like to keep the set, but if not I'll probably return it.
