These shoes are true to size. I wear women's shoes 8.5-9 and ordered 8.5. It fits perfectly and is comfortable. They were easy to put on and take off which bothered me as I now have a hard time bending and stretching. I do aqua aerobics for seniors, so having a foothold in the pool was important. They did a good job for that too. Where they didn't work was two things: the lining came loose and bent/crumpled under my toes and ball of foot, making the movement uncomfortable. But even worse, while I was doing the exercises, the velcro came loose, causing the boot to fall off. No amount of repeated Velcro was able to prevent this. I've only had my shoes for 2 months and although I do aqua aerobics 5 days a week they don't require strenuous or excessive activity so I think the shoes should have lasted well over 8 weeks.
