cool design Definitely NOT beeswax.

These spiral candles are a great idea and I love the design of the holders. However, these candles are "beeswax" which means they can only contain a small amount of wax. Smells like gasoline. I suspected something was wrong with the first roll that came with the holder. This replacement is the same. Made in Vietnam. Buyer Warning.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Confused

Looks great, but you should always keep an eye on it.

Great idea, love the long lasting light. The only real problem is that you MUST be aware of turning times. You will need to rotate the candle through the holder by hand about every 20 minutes. If it gets too low, you'll burn through the roll and make a mess. He looks great, steampunk. Just be careful as it needs to be fully controlled in operation.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Nothing

Misleading Advertising.

Misleading advertising. The stamp is said to burn approximately 1 inch every 20 minutes. It also says it burns for around 80 hours. Doing the math means the candle is over 200 inches long. This means that the wick of the coiled candle must be over 6 meters long. It is impossible. This appears to be a great product but it misrepresents the number of hours the candle will burn.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • No form required

Functional, unique mood lighting to match my steampunk decor.

Functional, unique decorative lighting to match my steampunk interior. The candle requires a bit of care and attention when adjusting the wick, but for me it's kind of therapeutic. The stand is well made (I thought it would look cheap but I was wrong) and the copper and brass finishes are great. It's on my bookshelf and I get lots of compliments on it.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • It's OK

Wow, that's way better than I expected.

Wow, that's way better than I expected. Definitely a topic of conversation! I will definitely be buying more than birthday gifts for friends and family :) UPDATE: This looks great BUT I found it such a problem. A 1 inch wick lasts 20 minutes at best. It burns VERY FAST and gives off a lot of black smoke. I still like this idea, I just want the wax to burn longer without black smoke.

Pros
  • Finally bought it

  • Some cons

Misleading product information.

Measuring the burn time of this candle, two inches per day, showed only seventy (70) days, not eighty 80 as claimed by the manufacturer. Also, an inch of candle only burns for nineteen (19) minutes, and two inches burns for exactly 38 (38) minutes (+/- 20 seconds), not an hour as claimed by the manufacturer! Result = total recording time 2660 minutes = 44.333 hours. NOT "80 hours" as the manufacturer claims! * I only have to pay half price for what they charged me.

Difficult to fit in the terminal

I like the idea of wrapping a very long connector around this coil. We've had it for about a year now and we use it a little every day and it still works. However, during use, the wax melts and drips onto the clamp, making it difficult to release. Also, the "coiled" portion of the plug is difficult to move into the terminal, especially when it is "full" and very close to the terminal. You will need to flex the wax back and forth as you insert it into the clamp. It's never broken to me, but it…

  • Not bad

Please don't waste money like me

This candle is a joke. It's so impractical. You can put a maximum of 2 inches through the clamp at a time to burn, and those 2 inches will burn out in 10-15 minutes. You will then have to wait another 10-15 minutes for the wax to cool before continuing to feed it to burn off. Passing through the clamp is not easy either, as it gets clogged with drops of wax. Then, to top it off, the stand is flimsy and breaks in a jiffy. I thought it looked new and unique but it's a real problem. I've had to…

Stinks like NOTHING Mother Nature could

The original "beeswax" candleworm had NO artificial smell, so I'm assuming it was legal; Gas stations stink to high heaven of fake synthetic nauseating vanilla (think cheap gas station air fresheners). Those UNRESPONSABLE MANUFACTURERS HAVE ME AGAIN. Now I see in other reviews that the originals were probably MOST oil/NOT beeswax AS SPECIFIED. Jeff needs to FUN MORE AMAZON POPO or I'LL RUN OUT! I was about to burn the gems outside but decided to WASTE MY TIME and get them back on principle…
